Caterpillar and the Butterfly

"...the caterpillar, at a certain point in its life cycle, becomes a voracious, over consumptive glutton consuming everything in sight and within reach. At this point in its evolution it can eat hundreds of times its own weight, and the more it consumes the more fat and sluggish it gets. At that same moment of developmental excess, inside the caterpillar the imaginal cells begin to stir. Imaginal cells are specialized cells, and in the minority, but when they connect with each other they become the genetic directors of the metamorphosis of the
caterpillar.
At some point in the caterpillar's feeding-frenzy stage, the imaginal cells usher in the process in which the overconsumptive caterpillar becomes the "nutritive soup" out of which the imaginal cells create the miracle of the butterfly."

This metaphor gives us a way to see the world the way it is, even in its state of voracious greed, as a kind of evolutionary phase. In the hearts and souls of many of the inspired, devoted and brilliant people at work to repair and nourish the world, families, and the earth, we can see the imaginal cells of our own transformation. All of what is going on around us in the world and this country could be the voracious caterpillar becoming the nutritive soup from which will grow the miracle of the butterfly. Perhaps we could focus on OUR role in the transformation that is occurring and hold the visualization (be imagine cells...) that the miracle of the Butterfly's birth will unfold in our time.” ( Perhaps as Lynn says, "We are the hidden mainstream. We are the genetic directors of the living system." Be the Imaginal Cells of transformation! Trust the process!)

New Cycle

My "truth"...
My guides remind me that we are the midwives of the birthing of a NEW cycle and that these dramatic and corrupt happenings were/are a reflection of a dense consciousness of a 20,000 year cycle coming to a close (2012 perhaps? - the water has broken!). I sense that things may need to collapse (like the butterfly nutritive soup) in order to be rebuilt anew as a miraculous winged butterfly. I am trying not to be attached to how the old cycle should close and the new begin...but to be a midwife and healer assisting as an imaginative cell thru the pain of the birth of a new consciousness.

I intend everyday to stay nonattached to the outcome of how I think this "birthing" transformation should happen. I believe in the important catalyst of activism, but I also believe in the absolute perfection of the moment. Birthing transformation is likely to be painful... but as a faerie Spirit, I know that I have chosen a transformative role in the birthing of the new cycle where the butterfly rises from the "soup".

I invite any willing to join me in choosing to focus on the butterfly being born and not get caught "stuck" in an unhealthy focus on the over consumptive caterpillar and the pain of the transformation. We may be in the minority, but when we join together as imaginal cells, we will connect with each other as the genetic directors of the metamorphosis/transformation. I choose to be an imaginal cell of transformation and to play my role. I choose to REMEMBER why I came to Earth. I encourage each unique soul to spend some of our powerful light energy vibrating the vision of the butterfly. Be imaginal cells - imagine and invoke the medicine of the Butterfly!

The caterpillar and the butterfly are One. We are One. We ARE in a cycle of rebirth.
