Queen of Death Initiation

The Queen of Death is certainly showing up in a timely way according to the collective mind field, as our cultural fabric is dis-integrating before our eyes. As you know, the Queen of Death’s focus is primarily about the work of transformation and release of old patterns that no longer serve us personally and collectively, to prepare us for the change that new growth naturally brings. So there is an extra “push” in preparation for the cultural changes that are afoot, for us to “clean up” our personal “nigredo”, (as it is called in alchemy), the things especially that we have been resisting, denying, compromising or avoiding our whole lives! What fractally repeating shadow pattern are you here to heal for yourself and your genetic line in this lifetime? That is the question the Queen of Death most wants to know the answer to in the Underworld. And more importantly are you finally willing to actually release whatever that is? That is the main consideration for our work this moon.

As many of you have noticed, there is “bleed through” in your experiences from the Wise Woman to the Weaver to the Queen of Death. They inform each other and are sisters who are next to each other on the wheel for a very clear reason. Remember, this is NOT a system that moves linearly. There are relationships both across the wheel in opposition and next to each archetype.. and in this case, the three mature “crone” positions that all inform each other.. And there are many other harmonic relationships that you undoubtedly will find as you explore this 13 Moon pattern. What do you feel is the relationship of the juxtaposition of the Weaver and the Queen of Death?

It takes trust to release and release to trust. So trust is a major focus for us to engage with this moon as we consciously release stuck patterns. We are getting comfortable (in this moon especially) with the fact that we can trust that whatever is unfolding in our lives, IS serving the most expanded design and purpose, regardless of its appearance on the screen of life! As always, please “be with” the materials in the Alchemy of Ecstasy and 13 Moon for each archetype, in the amounts you are nurtured and fed by. To gain maximum benefit always set up a sacred, ceremonial context for working with these materials. You can use the simple suggestion for evocation of each archetypal energy in the Frequency Oracle in the 13 Moon Oracle or create your own.

***Recognize that when you choose to participate in this alchemical, archetypal work, the primary interface and benefit is vibrational. Alchemy is simply the raising of vibrational frequency. The vibration that is held within these words, transforms and assists in integrating and embodying these archetypal energies.

Recognize the opportunity you have through this self initiating curriculum, to both embody the qualities of this archetype, and through that focus on your wholeness, to “whole” the shadow aspects that you are clearing within this energy. A major reason you would want to remember and work with the qualities and the shadows of each archetype is for the purpose of “prescribing” for oracular queryients and people who come to you as a priest/ess for many reasons.. Rather than mentally memorizing these qualities and shadows, you would work directly with them, asking the crystal, the tree, the element etc. to reveal its innate wisdom to you. Meditate and then speaking from the position in consciousness of stepanotis, or bat or the frequency of black for example, receive its teachings directly. (I am black tourmaline and I ....) This is the way of the Goddess, to honor all life as sentient, conscious and wise.

For that purpose, please choose one quality and one shadow from the “Elements to Evoke and Establish Archetypal Resonance” list in the Queen of Death through which you will lens your reality this moon. Because this is a life time curriculum of self initiation in the Goddess, each year, (or time around the wheel) you would pick different qualities and shadows to focus on and lens your reality through, so there is infinite holographic reflection from these various aspects, for a lifetime immersion in Her depth, beauty and wisdom. For example embodying the quality of overview and healing the shadow of sadness or depression, might be one choice of lensing a quality and shadow for this archetype. Remember, these archetypes are alive and WILL interface with your life in very concrete and profound ways, when you reach out and offer yourself as a vessel for their embodiment here on Earth.

Please make note in your journals and on sticky notes as to what you are committing to focus on for this moon.(especially quality and shadow lens). Post it up somewhere so that you stay aware of it all moon. Change happens very rapidly in this kind of alchemical container, AND you can support that possibility with your mindfulness! For extra accountability.. have another virtual priestess witness your choice of shadow and light quality and check in with you about it during the moon.

Keeping journaling your experiences, dreams, art, images, meditations etc. because it is essential to this depth dive into your inner worlds.

Each moon/archetype, speak the Invocation in the Alchemy of Ecstasy OUT LOUD (if you can with one other player.) The vibrational truth that is revealed is very different than reading words. Each piece is Sacred Theater and meant to be taken in through vibration rather than mentally.

Meditate in depth with the three cards from the 13 Moon Oracle that are associated with this archetype: one sacred tool, one archetype, and one frequency card. The Release Card of the tool of the Death Shroud, the Frequency of Black Card and the Queen of Death Card. During this moon, “take in”, that is really be deeply with, the associated oracles on each card.

Work especially with the mudra, mantra and sound principle for each archetype. They hold great wisdom! Particularly this moon, use the mantra and mudra in combination, as a creational/dis-creational tool of release.

If accessing your gifts, tools and lineages from many life expressions is of interest to you, look at the Archetypal Star Lineages section in the Frequency Oracle and meditate with that.

Alchemy may seem like a totally arcane subject, but simply it is about raising your vibration. Sit with the Alchemical Principle. Meditate with it. Then, in your journal, answer the question that is associated with that principle that is found in the Frequency Oracle in the 13 Moon Oracle.

They seem difficult, as they are quantum in nature, but as you familiarize yourself with the languaging, they offer amazing clarity on the process of birth we are in as a species on this planet.

At the beginning of each moon, read the Blue Priestess Folder to continue developing a concrete means of working on each of the 13 areas of integration to fully embody the Priestess that you are. Read the “mind-food” in the Blue Priestess Folder as background for a more in depth, direct experience of the archetypes. Though there is infinite depth in the Alchemy of Ecstasy and the 13 Moon Oracle, if you wish to read other source materials on each archetype, a bibliography is provided in the Blue Priestess Folder. (Remember, this curriculum was originally a 13 year priestess training in Avalon.) Take in as much as you can on any given round through the wheel of infinite experience and integration that these materials represent.

“Priestess Practicum for the Queen of Death Moon”

ALWAYS: FEED THE FEMININE FIRST that means.. to make a commitment to start each day, even if that is only for 15 minutes.. doing something that celebrates the ecstatic body of beingness, .rather than moving into a more male “doing” mode first thing upon arising.. that can be dancing, scribing your dreams, singing, honoring the Goddess at your altar, listening in Emptiness and Silence, making love to the self, whatever nurtures and fullfills YOU. IT is a quintessential part of this work to learn to surrender to the feminine self that you are and nurture her each moon FIRST.. not being tricked by the ego

into zooming straight to the computer or office, or car or whatever.. without a thought
as to what it is that would actually start your day off in JOY and ECSTASY as a feminine being!!.. Believe me, if you do this one practice, your life will shift dramatically.

From the Wise Woman archetype on, in the 13 moon wheel, we are looking at reality from the point of view of transpersonal awareness. We are looking at how to step more fully into the mythic BIG STORY of our lives. So let us continue this moon to focus on our lives from a more transpersonal perspective of the mythic aspects of our beings.

Look at your intention collage honoring what it is that you have manifested during this 13 moon cycle and see where you are in the process of manifestation of your intentions. If you want more focus on completing manifestation during this cycle of the 13 moon’s, move your moon token around the moon wheel to go through the creational/ manifestational process, moon phase by moon phase, during one whole moon. It is helpful to have this experience at least once during the 13 Moon cycle, as it can be very revelatory in helping you see where you get stymied and stuck in the manifestational process.

Each archetype has a rite for embodying the energies of the archetype. In this archetype the Rite is the Rite of Soul Retrieval and Release. If you can take time to pre-record the various elements of the journey beforehand or share it with someone reading it, you will be able to go much deeper into the journey. If you wish to use the 13 Moon CD for this journey, this can also be easy. It may go a little faster than your pace, which is why I suggest recording it before you start with appropriate blank space for you to deeply sink into the inquiry. You can either focus on retrieving some split off part of self that was fragmented in traumatic passage through childhood or you can focus on releasing stuck patterns that no longer serve you, whichever seems most useful to you at this time. Or you can do both on different run-throughs of the work. Using the mantra of “I release. I let go. I surrender. I forgive”, I have found is very useful as I am in the process of releasing something that is very difficult for me to let go of. I say it repeatedly until the attachment I am feeling in the moment lessens its hold and I can let go.

You may wish in your rite, as always to find ahead of time the sacraments for your ceremonial rite this moon, which are figs, pomegranates or star fruit. White gladiolas and stephanotis or star jasmine are usually available for your ceremonial investigation and altar. (Notice especially the scent of the stephanotis. These scents are great teachers of the frequency of this archetype.) As usual, you would be served in completing your moon with a ceremony, the sacramental offering and the Consecration prayer spoken out loud, along with offering the mudra and mantra.

The element earth is the elemental focus this moon. You may wish to sit out (or at least stand on) the earth at night to consciously commune with and feel the sensate impressions that come directly from the earth, listening, sensing any message it wishes to deliver to you directly. Should you wish to speak the evocation to earth in this process, do.

To SIT with and take in the frequency of black directly allows you to feel how to use that frequency in your temple and to prescribe it for beings who come to you for assistance. Black is all colors in contraction. It holds the paradox of generative receptivity. Learn

from the frequency directly what its gifts are to offer “healing”,wholing and awakening to others.

By sitting in meditation and asking a question of each of these elements as to their properties and healing nature, deepen with the herbs mandrake and belladonna (not to be eaten!) scents: hollyberry, jasmine, immortelle, styrax and crystals black tourmaline, black pearl, obsidian and the yew tree in meditation, whatever you are most drawn to explore more deeply. It is always most fulfilling to get the actual scent or herb to sit with to garner its truth directly by “listening” to it from within silence. “I am black tourmaline and from this point of awareness I.......” so much truth can be garnered with this simple heart felt method of honoring the sentient nature of all life through direct listening. By deeply tuning in, you can learn how to “prescribe” using the frequency, color, scent etc. to assist people in healing and awakening.

The flowers for this archetype are exciting to sit with in meditation to investigate their energy and healing properties: star jasmine, stephanotis, white gladiolus.

You may wish, as always, to do a guided visusalization with the animal totem of panther, vulture or bat as your guide or dreamguide. Profound awareness and revelation can come directly from the animal totems associated with these archetypes.

The mudra and mantra this moon are powerful activators. If you need more assistance in understanding how to do the mudra, call me. It is very difficult to explain in words.

The Alchemical principle this moon bears a deep meditation. We will all pass through this alchemical transmutational state. It is good to feel into what that out pictures as and where you are within this process.

The tool of this archetype is the death shroud. It is a great tool to become familiar with in its powerful potential in supporting light speed transformations and archetypal release, that from the ego mind would have taken a lifetime instead of one moment of full conscious awareness. Familarize yourself with this tool! We will have great need for it as we journey through the dissolution intrinsic to this time.

The most quintessential distillation of each archetype is found in the two word description on the 13 Moon Oracle game board. To truly understand and embody the archetype, these two principles need to be experienced directly and integrated. This moon, notice how “I Release. I Trust” are related, in your personal experience. Make note in your journals.

Track the moon on your 13 moon wheel. Starting with the dark of the moon/new moon that we have begun this journey on, move a token around the moon each day to stay in

tune with the moon cycle that is being recapitulated in your bellies! Stay in touch with your moon cycle as a sacred rite. Treat it is HOLY!! because it is!

Sacred Geometry is the most quintessential aspect of the Mystery. Please meditate with the sacred geometry for each archetypal face (the 5 pointed star). Let it offer you divine truth and wisdom directly! There is a handout in your packets for deep meditation on the import of this powerful symbol. Please take time to deepen with it to receive its wisdom.

The myth in this archetype is the myth of Descent and Return. (Inanna/ Persephone). You may wish to get a copy of one of these myths to deepen in the archetypal story of descent and return (that we ALL go though in dark times in our journey’s).

Write a letter to everyone important to you in your life, from the point of view of your completions in a last letter before death. See what arises and what completions you would choose to make.

If it is in your joy, please set up a simple altar for Her to begin collecting images and totems for the Queen of Death: a black cloth, a death shroud, jasmine, a black tourmaline etc.

If it is in your joy, answer the questions (that begin on page 187 in the 13 Moon Oracle) outloud with a priestess sister, an ally or in your journal.
