Deepen with the Priestess

Archetype of the PRIEST/ESS The most seminal issue embodied in this archetype is accessing Stillness/Emptiness.

How to maintain and amplify the experience of the peace that stillness holds, is in great part what being a priestess IS. “I amplify in stillness” speaks volumes about the nature of stillness and how it operates to assist healing, wholing, manifestation, creativity, touching every aspect of sacred existence! And how stillness can be accessed and maintained is the realm of the Priestess.

Please read the three paragraphs about what resonance is and how it is maintained in your Alchemy of Ecstasy.. about page 79 in most copies. It details how we create and maintain divine connection and enhance, through the resonance found in stillness, all the gifts that emerge from that divine connection.

Please take time to read this offering. It is quintessential to understanding and thus embodying the joy of being a priestess. We can again deepen our understanding of resonance by doing one to one work with Empty Presence with another priest/ess or doing mirror work to deepen with the resonance of stillness within us.

Always recognize the opportunity you have through this self initiating curriculum, to both embody the qualities of this archetype, and through that focus on your wholeness, to heal the shadow aspects that you are clearing within this energy. A major reason you would want to remember and work with the qualities and the shadows of each archetype is for the purpose of “prescribing” for oracular querients and people who come to you as a priestess for many reasons.

Rather than mentally memorizing these qualities and shadows, you would work directly with them, asking the crystal, the tree, the element etc. to reveal its innate wisdom to you. Meditate and then speaking from the position in consciousness of moonstone, rosemary or the frequency of sapphire blue for example, to receive its teachings directly. (I am rosemary and I ....) This is the way of the Goddess, to honor all life as sentient, conscious and wise.

For that purpose, please choose one quality and one shadow from the “Elements to Evoke and Establish Archetypal Resonance” list in The Priestess through which you will lens your reality this moon. Because this is a life time curriculum of self initiation in the Goddess you would pick different qualities and shadows to focus on and lens your reality through, so there is infinite holographic reflection from these various aspects, for a lifetime immersion in Her depth, beauty and wisdom.

For example embodying the quality of devotion and healing the shadow of perfectionism might be one choice of lensing a quality and shadow for this archetype. Remember, these archetypes are alive and WILL interface with your life in very concrete and profound ways, when you reach out and offer yourself as a vessel for their embodiment here on Earth.

Please make note in your journals and on sticky notes as to what you are committing to focus on for this moon.(especially quality and shadow lens). Post it up somewhere so that you stay aware of it all moon. Change happens very rapidly in this kind of alchemical container, AND you can support that possibility with your mindfulness!

By sitting in meditation listening/feeling directly into it and asking a question of each of the qualities of the archetype, such as the herb, crystal, tree etc., as to their properties and healing nature. As you do, you come into a deepening relationship of attunement to these energies and can begin to hear/see/feel their gifting wisdom directly! All things are conscious! It is ours as priestess’ to tap into each things discrete lens of conscious perception. It is deeply enriching of our journeys and our ability to “prescribe” and assist others with that wisdom.

Please continue to update and deepen your magical journey in your JOURNAL, expressing your experiences, dreams, art, images, meditations etc. Journaling is an essential part of this depth dive into your inner worlds.

Each moon/archetype, speak the Invocation in the Alchemy of Ecstasy OUT LOUD (if you can with one other player by phone or in whatever way.) The vibrational truth that is revealed is very different than reading words. Each piece is Sacred Theater and meant to be taken in through vibration rather than mentally. This one is particularly moving for priestesses.

Meditate in depth with the three cards from the 13 Moon Oracle that are associated with this archetype: one sacred tool, one archetype, and one frequency card. “Take in” .. that is really be deeply with, the associated oracles on each card.

Work especially with the mudra, mantra and yantra for each archetype. They hold great wisdom and are powerful activators and sealers of energy! In this archetype I most like to use the mantra “Dian y glas”.. a Gaelic mantra evoking blue fire, blue consciousness… very powerful!

***Sacred Geometry is the most quintessential aspect of the Mystery. Please meditate with the sacred geometry for each archetypal face (the solar cross and isocosohedron this moon). Let it offer you divine truth and wisdom directly! Look in your daily life where you see this sacred geometry.

If it is in your joy, please consider setting up a simple altar for this archetypal face of the Divine Feminine to begin collecting images and totems for the Priestess archetype.

A sapphire blue altar cloth, a chalice, a Japanese iris whatever your heart resonates with. If you find it illuminating, answer the questions (that begin on page 187 in the 13 Moon Oracle) out loud with a priestess sister or in your journal.

As with each archetype, consider doing a guided visualization or journey with the animal totem of this moon, which is owl and or cat as familiar. It can be very revelatory and illuminating especially to priestesses!

If accessing your gifts, tools and lineages from many life expressions is of interest to you, look at the Archetypal Star Lineages section in the Frequency Oracle and meditate with that. Alchemy may seem like a totally arcane, irrelevant and complex subject. It is not. It is about raising your vibration. Sit with the Alchemical Principle. Meditate with it. Then journal what is arising, answer the question that is associated with that principle that is found in the Frequency Oracle in the 13 Moon Oracle, if you have one, by drawing an intuitive image, or symbol.. and then interpreting that for example.

If you are interested in knowing about how our reality is shifting on Earth at this time, read the “Changing Reality Constructs” sections in the 13 Moon Oracle. They seem difficult, as they are quantum in nature, but as you familiarize yourself with the languaging, they offer amazing clarity on the process of birth we are in as a species on this planet.

As always, work with your priestess ally each moon on deepening the practice of being a priestess. Use the 5 areas that are detailed in previous work. If you are intending to become a fully ordained priestess.. you will be showing me your journals, so please work/ play with them, with that in mind.

Homework for the Priestess Moon

EACH MOON: FEED THE FEMININE FIRST ... that means to make a commitment to start each day, even if that is only for 15 minutes… doing something that celebrates the ecstatic body of beingness..rather than moving into a more male Doing mode first thing upon arising.. that can be dancing, scribing your dreams, singing, honoring the goddess at your altar, listening in Emptiness and Silence, making love to the self, whatever nurtures and fullfills YOU. This is a SEMINAL aspect of archetypal interface - surrendering to the feminine self that you are and nurturing her FIRST. Not being tricked by the ego into zooming straight to the computer or office, or car or whatever.. without a thought as to what it is that would actually start your day off in JOY and ECSTASY as a feminine being!!...believe me, if you do this one practice, your life will shift dramatically.

Each archetype has a rite for embodying the energies of the archetype. In this one, it is the Making of Holy Water and the Rite of Devoted Presence from The Alchemy of Ecstasy. This moon please find someone else for whom you can joyfully offer a foot bath and anointing. Then, if it feels appropriate, have them offer you this gift back. (For most potent remembrance, it is important that this is done in silent adoration or with simple music such as the sound of crystal bowls.) In this rite remember to Drink of the Chalice of Remembrance saying: “I drink of the waters of remembrance. I am an ocean of wisdom.” And then do a meditation to deepen with that simple statement. Please conclude each rite with the Consecration Prayer and sacrament, if you wish to step more deeply into embodiment of this face of the Goddess.

Listen to the CD for the Priestess if you have a 13 Moon Oracle. Write in your journals what gifts were offered you in this journey.

The most quintessential distillation of each archetype is found in the two word description on the 13 Moon Oracle game board. To truly understand and embody the archetype, these two principles need to be experienced directly and integrated. This moon, in your personal experience, answer the question: “How does stillness amplify?” Make note in your journals.

Please take time to speak outloud the Invocation Sacred Theater: “Devotion of a Moon Root” this moon. It is a powerfully moving experience to assist in remembrance of the nature of devotion that we each share as priestesses.

As with all the moons, track the moon cycle on your 13 moon wheel.. starting with the dark of the moon/new moon that we have begun this journey on… the moon as you notice Her change, to stay in tune with the moon cycle that is being recapitulated in your bellies! Watch how your moon cycle is connected to the bigger cycles, as a sacred rite. Treat it is HOLY (because it is)!

This moon especially work with REMEMBRANCE of yourself as a priest/ess using water and scent (sandalwood, spikenard, fresh rosemary or with whatever scent you feel aligned.)

Concretely work with the element WATER this moon!. Become conscious of the
power you hold to program water to your intentional use! Get in water as often as you can. Take conscious baths with “living water”. (If you don’t have a filter to take out chlorine and other chemicals, please consider giving yourself that gift.). Water is a precious substance. Water is feminine consciousness in form! Water is the medium of transduction of the magnetic frequencies of the Mother. The chalice is the sacred vessel in which She pours forth Her gifts of the waters of life. The nature of the chalice is to be empty in order to contain. Together, the chalice and water form a sacred symbol for the fluid container of Divine Feminine Intelligence. Lunar wisdom directs the flow of Universal life force that is the animating energy of this reality. Water is constantly moving, pooling, re-directly, changing states from solid to liquid to rarefied energy. Nothing in the Goddess is static. Everything is in a constant state of evolution and flow. Water embodies this truth. Water is to remembrance, what vibration is to resonance. Drink of the Chalice of Remembrance!

There is great revelatory benefit in doing the hot-tub rite (or better still hot mineral springs): “Floating in the Galactic Chalice”, listed in The Alchemy of Ecstasy as a means to re-establish a more conscious relationship with the elemental force of living water.

Find a sacred source of water in your area and begin creating blessed or holy water to use with clients or people in need of clearing or healing energies. (See page 96 in the Alchemy for the Making of Holy Water.) Detail in your journal your experiences with using holy water with people.

Work with the Chalice and the mirror as sacred tools. Do meditative work concerning what full embodiment of these tools would look like in your daily life and step into that!

Especially this moon, work with another priest/ess in mirroring, Empty Presence and Divination tools.

Feeling Navigation: This is one of the natural gifts of the priest/ess. She scans a room with her feeling body, intuition and awareness to determine where the strongest feeling current or emotional contraction is in any moment within a group of people. Practice this skill when you are in groups of people by going up to someone you have a strong intuition about and sharing it with them. Don’t let fear of being inaccurate hold you back from offering your perception. It is a skill that is sharpened with practice and often people may actually be feeling what you have perceived but are feeling too threatened or vulnerable to admit it (or in some cases may not even yet be fully conscious of it). So just keep practicing. This is a very important skill for the priest/ess. If you can practice by calling someone in the circle when you have an intuition to do so, to feel into what is drawing you to do that and then sharing that perception, do that.

Symbols and understanding their nature and use, is a very important focus this moon. Please spend time with the handout/article on symbols and then begin a cultivated focus on symbols this moon. At one level everything is symbolic, because we live in a hologramatic and thus symbolic Universe. As we learn to decode the symbols accurately the journey becomes very synchronistic, telepathic and exciting to fit the puzzle pieces of our journey together.

Divination is a primary tool of the priest/ess. That is, using an outside source of confirmation for the inner knowing and intuitions that you have when you are working with people. This moon it would be wonderful if you have not already started a relationship with a divination tool to do so. Of course, the 13 moon oracle is a divination system and using it will assist you in deepening with your priest/ess practice, but if you have a system that you already work with, that supports you in using for confirmation, please feel free to deepen with that. If you can do at least one reading with another priest/ess, it will get your focus moving in that direction and support your growth in this area! Water or a crystal ball can be used as a divinatory device to explore with in this archetype. In temples, often divination was done with a pool or bowl of water. If this piques your interest, try it and journal your results.

Work with the crystals associated with this archetype: lapis, pearl, water sapphire or selenite (I personally especially resonant with the gifting of this crystal to our reclamation as a priest/ess.) to directly receive the frequency and teachings of this archetype.

Find a willow, hazel or laurel tree to sit with and make note of your response in your journals. I know it is difficult to get to everything, but when you hear a tree that you are particularly fond of, please take time to commune with them. You will discover what wise, wise teachers they are.

Call at least one of the priestess’ in the virtual priestesshood “out of the blue” in the moment you feel intuitively guided, practicing the art of subtle listening to the currents of etheric information that are always telepathically washing over us, to sharpen that skill. Keep a record of how many times the person you called says something like “I was just thinking about you”.. or “I was wishing someone would call”… something like that… Listening is the primary skill of the priestess.. Listen on ALL levels!

Create a song, story, poem, dance, piece of art translating your experience of your embodiment of the Priest/ess.

Utilize the following questions to share with one of the priestess’ by phone to deepen intimacy with each other and the archetype.

Diad Questions for The Priest/ess

Use this as a practice time to allow these answers to emerge from the womb of silence and the heart temple of your essence, rather than from the past reservoirs of the ego mind.

Don’t be attached to words coming up, perhaps only an image or metaphor will arise. Allow the Mystery to speak in its own way. Before you begin, please sit in silence to establish essence contact in Source and resonance with each other. Given adequate time, if nothing emerges from the silence of essence, let the question go rather than answering from ego and what you have known from the past.

I am the Gateway of Devotion. To what are you genuinely devoted in this moment, in this lifetime?

What would have to change in your life to have equanimity and centered peace?
You are a Keeper of the Keys of the Mystery. What key have you carried into this lifetime?

I remember…(anoint with rosemary). Speak what is remembered in the Silence in symbol, image, sound, or words.
